The biggest problem in the financial services industry is that financial advisors are thought of by clients as only “investment advisors,” “stock pickers,” or “money managers.” There are many other areas of a client’s financial life that have far more impact on whether or not they achieve their financial goals, and ultimately live their ideal life. The way to break away from the pack and be the only game in town is to take a broader view of client needs and wants, and design a service that they truly want to buy at high fees. Why not give them what they want and be the only one who does?
